Porcelain tile

Porcelain tile flooring from Carpet Concepts

Like ceramic tile, porcelain tile is made from clay, minerals and water. The difference is the materials are finer and the tile is fired at a higher temperature, resulting in a denser tile. Porcelain is water resistant, resists cracks and chips, staining and wear. Porcelain tile flooring is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. Strong enough for exposure to freeze/thaw cycles, outdoor use of glazed porcelain should be confined to covered areas.

We carry porcelain tile in wide variety of colors, shapes and sizes, so the design possibilities are limitless.
Porcelain tile flooring and wall tile is also a sustainable and environmentally responsible product:
  • Made of all-natural products
  • Ultra-low VOCs
  • No harsh cleaning chemicals needed, can be cleaned with water alone
  • Meets strict indoor air quality standards
  • Does not easily support the growth of mold, fungus or bacteria

Porcelain tile may cost more than ceramic tile initially, but porcelain tile flooring and wall tile is more durable and longer lasting, so might actually be the cheaper of the two over the life of the installation. Porcelain is also less porous, making it easier to clean.

Porcelain tile is very hard, which can be a problem during installation for a do-it-yourselfer. Our professional installers are factory certified, and have the expertise and special tools needed to install porcelain tile flooring. Plus, we back up our work with a lifetime labor warranty.
